In september I came to Iryna, with a special project. I bought a wedding dress from the high street and Iryna transformed it; with some clever ideas and skill she made it into a beautifully fitting individual piece. I couldn't recommend Iryna enough. She was the first seamstress I tried and I was so pleased with everything she did for me. She is really friendly and puts you at ease immediately.I’d not given her the easiest of tasks, which she took on and completed within a short deadline. The final dress is beautiful and I can’t wait to wear it.Iryna is very quick, has brilliant suggestions and you can tell from the outset she is very skilled and knows what she is doing. Nicely altered a vintage dress, from short dropped sleeves to 3/4 sleeves, gave ideas on how to make the dress look even nicer. Quite happy and she even offered to store it for a few weeks while a mould issue at home gets fixed!! ♥️

Iryna did an incredible job altering mine and my fiancée’s wedding dresses. She’s so friendly (and LGBT friendly!), communicative, professional, and we immediately had complete trust that our dresses were in safe and experienced hands. She went above and beyond in not only altering our dresses, but also replaced the loops and cups on our Wed2B dresses with better quality ones! My fiancée needed the sleeves removed on her dress which Iryna did flawlessly and quickly. My dress was slightly trickier but we did several fittings to make adjustments until the fit was perfect. We can’t wait to wear our dresses and can’t recommend Iryna enough!

Iryna saved me when, 8 weeks before my wedding, unfortunately my seamstress broke her wrist! Still with a dress that didn't fit I was lucky enough to find Iryna. On our first phone call she sensed my panic and kindly was able to fit me in around her other work. I always really enjoyed my trips to see her for my fittings, she is so professional, efficient and meticulous with her work. I cannot praise Iryna enough. In total, I had three fittings - and nothing was too challenging or too big of an ask. Iryna remade the entire upper part of my dress - and made other alterations along the way. Iryna is professional and makes you feel completely at ease (you are in a safe pair of hands). This was a last-minute alteration yet Iryna made it feel like I had all the time in the world - equally, Iryna worked outside of her scheduled working hours to ensure the alterations could fit around my day job. Iryna was amazing. We took my wedding dress and my sister's bridesmaid dress to be altered. She knew exactly what to do and she did it perfectly. I had an extra layer fitted to my wedding dress, the straps adjusted, the hem equaled out, cups fitted, and the sides brought in so it was fitted. My sister had cups added and her straps fixed to her dress. Her communication with us was great and everything was done on time. I would definitely recommended Iryna 5🌟

Look no further than Iryna! Iryna is highly skilled, friendly and a great communicator. My wedding dress was cutting into my shoulders, and I have only recently moved to Oxford so needed a new tailor. I still do not know how Iryna did it, but she managed to loosen the stitching without altering the bust. Iryna also added a soft silicon strip so that it now sits comfortably. Iryna also hemmed the dress, did an amazing trick with the loop so it the layers waterfall down when you hold it up (ask her about this!) and created a loop bustle for me. My dress is now ready to wear and I feel much better in it. I am so glad I found Iryna. I really cannot recommend her highly enough.

I went to Iryna for alterations to the dress I was wearing for my wedding. The dress fitted well in some areas but then was too big in others. I also only had 2 weeks to the wedding! Iryna has such an amazing eye for detail, and could tell by looking at me what size and shape I was! Just fantastic! She has altered precious dresses, designed me a beautiful long linen overcoat, designed and made special trousers to help with my neuropathic pain - now my favourite trousers of all time, and altered waistcoats and fixed items in minutes which would take me an hour! I highly recommend her for both her designing skills and sewing. And a lovely, caring, hardworking person too!

I had an old vintage gown which was now way too small for me. Iryna brilliantly unpicked it, sewed in matching sequin panels to expand the bones bodice, fitted a new (unscratchy) lining and let out the tight-fitting waist. IRYNA! My fairy godmother!!I was so worried about putting my gorgeous wedding dress in the hands of someone else but she made me feel so at ease with her kindness and expertise. The top part of my dress was rather large and a lot of adjustments were required. It also has 8 layers, which was pretty challenging. One of the layers had embroidered flowers and Iryna treated this layer with utmost care - she unpicked some of the bottom flowers so the dress could be shortened, and re-sewed them on!!She fully explained every step of the process and listened to my feedback at each fitting. At the last fitting I cried happy tears as the dress fit so perfectly - truly a testament to Iryna's incredible work!For anyone looking for someone to alter their bridal gown, you cannot go wrong with Iryna! :)Thank you so much again Iryna and I can't wait to wear my dress in a few weeks!

My wedding dress arrived late (only a few weeks before the big day) and she managed to squeeze me in and was super communicative and responsive throughout; I was a bit stressed given how last minute it was but she was really reassuring and you just know you are in safe hands! Don’t hesitate to ask Iryna to alter your wedding dress! She did a marvellous job of adjusting the length of my dress. When I bought the dress the sleeves were too tight and I couldn’t lift my arms up. I assumed they’d have to be removed but she knew exactly what got do - she re-did them in just the right way so that they fit and the style still looks the same! I asked Iryna to copy a period dress I had seen worn in a film. It was not straightforward to make as the techniques are different now, but she understood exactly what was needed to achieve the look while keeping close to the period way of cutting fabric. She has a very collaborative, positive and friendly style and we worked out a lot of details together. She was also brilliant at suggesting fabrics and the embroidery on the dress was an additional feature which came up in our conversations and which really adds something unique. I could not be more happy with the finished result - it looks and fits better than I could have imagined and hoped, and furthermore is so comfortable and well-made. Iryna was also clear from the beginning about cost, which I thought very reasonable for the imagination and effort she put in. She is also a very good communicator and I always felt myself to be in good hands.Whenever I wear it I will remember the lovely meetings I had with Iryna when I always came away feeling lighthearted! If I could put more than 5 stars, I would.

I cannot praise Iryna's work high enough! My wedding dress was quite the challenge for her, but she did an amazing job at altering my strapless dress into an illusion halter neck dress, with beautiful lace applications covering the back and neck. The lace applications look like they are part of the dress. By hand she sewed all the applications onto the top and the result is stunning. She provided 32 beautiful buttons, bra cups and changed the hemline of all the skirt layers to ensure it wasn't too long anymore. Iryna's eye for detail and professionalism is outstanding and I had a great time with her for each of the fittings. I cannot wait to wear the dress for my winter wedding!

It was so lovely to work with Iryna on both of my wedding dresses. My main wedding dress needed lots of alterations and after a previous issue (with another seamstress!), I was anxious on how it would turn out. However, I needn’t be as Iryna was amazing! She took so much time to make sure it was perfect and that I was consulted at every stage to ensure I was happy. With only a few weeks until my wedding day, I decided to spring on her that I had an evening dress which also require some alterations! Without hesitation Iryna kindly altered this one too! To say that Iryna goes above and beyond in her work would be an understatement. I contacted her last minute to get a wedding dress fitted, that had 8 layers and a flower pattern that, albeit beautiful, made it more challenging to shorten the dress without making the flower pattern look cropped. Iryna however, fitted me into her busy schedule and worked miracles with the dress, and quickly too. The level of flexibility and care that she showed me (as well as the dress), made it a fantastic experience. She also made me a lovely facemask using some of the now spare material from my dress (#covidwedding). I chose her because of her great reviews, and I can wholeheartedly recommend her.

Iryna made some alterations to my wedding gown, which involved re-hemming lace, embroidered and beaded areas. Her work is beautifully neat, and she has a great eye for detail. Within a few minutes of me wearing the dress at my first appointment she had noticed a few small damaged areas, and was able to come up with a solution. My dress looks incredible, and to top it all off, Iryna charged me less than the original quote, as the work took her 3 hours, rather than 4. Amazingly honest, and I would highly recommend!

I came to Iryna with a wedding dress needing quite a few alterations to fit me perfectly. From the outset, Iryna was polite, professional and friendly. She provided a very reasonable quote upfront before any work commenced and was clear this would be adjusted, if necessary. Communication from Iryna was fantastic, and she always made sure I was happy with any alterations she wanted to do before she did them. I had complete trust in her, and knew everything she would be doing would be to a high standard. I've just had my final fitting, and I am so happy with everything that has been done. From tightening the bodice, adding cups, adjusting the shoulders, shortening the hem, adding an applique, taking in the hips, and small things like taking off any 'fluffy bits' and adding a silk wrist hoop under the layers to make it easier to walk in! I would have no hesitation in recommending Iryna and her 5* service.

My Mum and I came to Iryna with a 37 year old Wedding Dress (my Mum's) that we were hoping to alter to fit me and make alterations; turning the A-line skirt into ballgown, adding buttons, lengthening the sleeves etc. We had visited a seamstress elsewhere who led us to believe this was impossible and extremely expensive. But Iryna, was incredible - so positive and upbeat and skilled - she knew exactly how to do everything and kept us updated every step of the way - even with photos of the dress as it went through the process which was so so exciting to receive. She made fantastic suggestions all the way through - adding to the neckline and changing the shape of it, and adding different layers to the skirt. All her changes made the dress even more beautiful and I got my dream of wearing my Mum's wedding dress as my own (It was also super comfortable ALL day!). It was my perfect princess dress and Iryna made the process an absolute joy and left us with time to spare!Sorry, don't have a good photo of the buttons on the back. But it brushed the floor perfectly - exactly what I had in my head when I went to Iryna.

Iryna has done a beautiful job altering a dress I bought for my wedding. She worked quickly and carefully, and I am very happy with the results. It was a fairly sizable job- bodice taken in, bra pads added, shortened to tea length, and petticoat added. I bought a wedding dress from a 'typical wedding dress shop' and loved the front but wanted the back of it to be reconstructed as I had a very clear vision in my mind. Iryna took the time to listen to my ideas and created the most beautiful lacy back design for my original dress. She also reshaped and resized it (by about 2/3 sizes). Iryna is absolutely AMAZING. In addition to being incredibly professional and highly skilled, she is also one of the nicest people I've met in Oxford. My friend and I came to Iryna for alterations on our ballgowns after I stumbled across her page on Facebook. We made an appointment, boarded a bus from city centre (which was a quick ride!) and showed up to her in-house studio with no trouble. Iryna was done with the job within a day. Truly incredible speed! I am absolutely in love with my dress, and it now fits me like a glove. The price was well worth it, too. If you're wondering where to go for alterations, LOOK NO FURTHER. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Iryna was very friendly from the beginning, made every effort to accommodate my timings. I was amazed by how quickly the dress was altered, and the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend for any dress alterations. She was very honest- my partner was thinking of having his suit trousers taken up but she advised against- saving us some money!

Iryna altered a bridesmaids dress for me in a very short timeframe, and I could not have been happier with the results! She worked quickly and professionally and her years of experience really shone through. She turned the dress from something I was not excited to wear (it was chosen for me) into a dress I loved.
