1 — Where It Began

A 7‑year‑old girl in Ukraine stitching teddy‑bear trousers and discovering a lifelong love for making beautiful things. .#✨ Part 1: How I Became a Dressmaker ✨
When I was about seven, my grandmother’s sister sat me down and taught me how to stitch tiny trousers for my teddy bear. That was my first taste of creating something with my own hands — and I was hooked 🧵🐻

After school, I joined a dressmaking class, and later I learned even more from my mum’s dressmaker. I loved every single minute of it. By the time I was a teenager, I was confident enough to make my own prom dress — and yes, I still remember how proud I felt twirling in something I created myself 💃✨

At 14, I picked up another skill: making fur hats. Winters in Ukraine were absolutely brutal, and honestly… that part of dressmaking was pure survival, not passion ❄️😂 Definitely my least favourite craft, but it taught me resilience and precision.
